About Cocoon
Cocoon is a Repatriation & Rehabilitation Project by Red Rope Movement, dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking in Delhi, India. We believe in restoring dignity, rebuilding lives, and empowering survivors to transition from victims to Survivor Champions.
Why Cocoon?
Human trafficking survivors often find themselves stranded in a foreign land, with no means to return home. Many are left without legal documents, financial resources, or emotional support. Cocoon exists to bridge this gap—providing a safe shelter, legal assistance, skills training, and emotional healing to ensure a dignified and sustainable return home.
What We Do
Our intervention follows a structured six-step approach from identification to repatriation:
✅ Rescue & Identification – Partnering with law enforcement, NGOs, and community networks to locate and identify survivors.
✅ Safe Shelter & Care – Providing a secure, trauma-informed space where survivors can heal and regain confidence.
✅ Legal & Documentation Support – Assisting with exit permits, embassy coordination, and repatriation paperwork.
✅ Life Skills & Vocational Training – Engaging survivors in skill-based activities like art, craft, tailoring, and leatherwork to build self-reliance.
✅ Mental & Emotional Well-being – Facilitating counseling, group therapy, and mentorship to support survivors in their recovery journey.
✅ Repatriation & Reintegration – Coordinating a safe return home and linking survivors with local partner organizations for continued support.
How We Do It
🌍 Collaborations – We work alongside government agencies, embassies, NGOs, and survivor-led networks to ensure a smooth reintegration process.
🛠️ Skill Development – Through our partnerships, survivors receive hands-on artisan training, empowering them with sustainable livelihood options.
💙 Survivor-Centric Approach – Every survivor’s journey is unique. We offer personalized care, trauma-sensitive support, and long-term follow-ups to ensure holistic rehabilitation.
